MILA SOLA is a new women’s shoe brand founded in Sydney Australia, by Elsa Grierson.
Fashion shoes have always been a passion for Elsa, however upon experiencing foot issues, comfort became the priority and as many women know, most ‘comfort shoes’ struggle to appeal to the fashion conscious.
Having designed and manufactured corporate uniforms for over 12 years, Elsa saw the need for work shoes that prioritised comfort without compromising style. This was a turning point where Elsa’s passion, knowledge and experience was channelled into designing and making work shoes which look after working women’s most valuable asset; their feet.
So began a 5 year journey to marry comfort and fashion in a court style shoe. Elsa consulted working women all over Australia and industry specialists to give women everywhere a much needed comfortable shoe range for work.
MILA SOLA is Elsa’s 3rdshoe range and is the culmination of feedback gathered from over 2000 shoe fittings Australia wide, consultation with podiatrists and sampling from numerous footwear manufacturers. Click on Shoe Philosophy for what makes our shoes so special.
Elsa’s mission is to give her customers shoes that are comfortable and stylish. Elsa understands and values the importance of wellbeing and how that directly relates to so many aspects of women’s lives, both personal and work.
This same holistic approach to designing footwear is also taken with manufacturing. Elsa has sourced a suitable manufacturing partner in southern China who shares the same beliefs, made by people who are paid fairly (above the living wage), have pleasant, safe working conditions and work reasonable hours.
